Jason Nichols: Biden's take on African American voters and 'diversity' was not wrong

It is not an insult to say that African Americans form a singular, politically unified community

On August 6,2020 Democratic nominee Joe Biden faced backlash about a comment he made during the convention of the National Association of Black Journalist and National Association of Hispanic Journalist. Biden was asked if he would “re-engage” with Cuba if he were to become president and he made a comment about the African American community not being as diverse with their ideologies about certain things as the Latino community. In the Latino community, the region that they are in and the country of origin is a determinant of how they vote. While in the African American community, statistics show that they tend to lean towards the Democrats.
