Frequently Asked Questions

Advising

1. Do I need an appointment for advising?

Yes, all advising appointments are by appointment.  Currently, appointments are scheduled for Monday mornings from 10:00 – 12:00 PM and Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.  Please contact the AASD front office at 301-405-1158 to schedule an advising appointment.

2. “I really want/need to get into a class, but the class is full and I am currently on the wait-list. Can you put me in?”

3. “I want to register for an internship. How do I go about apply?”

Please check-out our website for details about applying for internships, which include undergraduate teaching assistantships, undergraduate research assistantships as well as internships at numerous sites throughout the Washington Metropolitan areas.  Please note that only AASD majors, certificate students, and students enrolled in our minor are eligible to participate in the AASP386 Experiential Learning course.
